Lucky Winner has been drawn
07/20/2005
This month's lucky winner of an € 50 gift certificate is Tomas Ahlbeck from Sweden. Tomas is the owner of the weblog "Vad heter hunden?", which means "What's the name of the dog?". You can find it on Vad heter hunden?. Tomas describes his weblog...
...The blog is mainly on daily comments, ironic and satirical reflections and own cartoons. It also contains categories on genealogy which is the main theme of the ahlbeck.net site in general. Since the family has roots on Vorpommern since 1631 some of the contents are also about the two communities in Vorpommern with the name Ahlbeck.
Tomas also runs another weblog (written in English). It is an important weblog about a sad subject. You can find it on Stop Child Abuse. Tomas describes his weblog...
The other blog - Stop Child Abuse - is the new version of a Internet project I have been running since 1996, and which has been covered in newspapers like Stern, TV/Radio and several international media. The project also has been mentioned in academic essays as far away as Australia. Moving to the Movable Type environment has made the work with the project so much easier.
Please have a look at this website.
Last Month
Last month's lucky winner of an € 50 gift certificate was Ricardo Mestre from Portugal. Ricardo is the creator of the Batatas for the People weblog. Ricardo describes his weblog...
...it's a weblog about the life seen through the sarcastic eyes of a professional software tester, and part-time musician - namely, work, corporate environment, commuting, crash tests, crashing software, recipes, music, human behaviour and random photographs of wherever the author roams. "Batatas" means literally "Potatoes", but on the title, it stands for "Filler".

Hello Michael,
Today I've recieved my order from Amazon:
"The ZEN of CSS Design: Visual Enlightenment for the Web"
Dave Shea
"Beginning PHP5, Apache, and MySQL Web Development"
Michael K. Glass
...I was interested in both books for some time, but I haven't bought them before, due to personal budget limitations :).
So, your prize has been put to good use.
Best regards,
Ricardo
